2019/20 Bundesliga season so far

The German Bundesliga with its high flowing football never cease to excite
spectators, and most of the times the league might not be able to draw much
attention like the Premier League or LaLiga but whenever they get the chance to
show their electrifying game flow in the UCL, like Bayern displayed against
Chelsea, they do it well.

The German Bundesliga has taken several twists this season but just like you
would have guessed, Bayern Munich are the current leaders with three points
ahead of RB Leipzig.
Bayern have been the Bundesliga champion every time in the last seven years,
and with their current form, they might be on their way to being the champion
for the eight consecutive year, a record which might remain unbeatable in a
very long time.

their talisman, Lewandowski, they edge out Hoffenheim by 6 goals without reply.

With 52 points, Bayern holds the top spot, they will be visiting Schalke in the
German cup before playing at home against the 13th placed Augsburg in their
next Bundesliga fixture.

RB Leipzig are currently second on the log with 49 points, a point ahead
of Borussia Dortmund. Thanks to the stellar performance of their talisman Timo
Werner who has been on a scintillating form netting 21 times for the German
side. Julian Nagelsmann’s side stunned Tottenham at home in the UCL, beating
the English side by a lone goal at their own ground. The 32-year-old coach since
his time at Hoffenheim has always drawn attention to himself as he was once
linked to the Bayern job where some players were said to be older.
Leipzig are unbeaten in their last four outings in the Bundesliga including a
goalless draw in February against the current leader. They visit the seventh
place Wolfsburg in their next Bundesliga game.

If there is any team that should be competing head to head with Bayern Munich,
it is Borussia Dortmund, however, their inconsistency has cost them a
lot this season.
Some time they looked hot and then they dropped unnecessary points.
They have been on fire again since their recruitment of Erling Haaland from Red
bull Salzburg.
Alongside RB Leipzig, does Dortmund stand a chance to stop Bayern from their
eight championship? Only time will tell. Dortmund have won their last four
league games playing some entertaining football.
The partnership of Erling Haaland and Jordan Sancho makes them looked a
completely different side, a more dangerous side. Just as though the Norwegian
was the missing piece for them, he hit the ground running with loads of goals.
Having more goals than appearances, he now has a total of 40 goals this season,
impressive from the 19-year-old.

Borussia Monchengladbach are fourth on the log and have been impressive
also. They have shown a great level of strength this season, leading the table
from round 7 to 14. They currently sit on fourth with an outstanding game,
which if they win, can push them to third or even second.
They are unbeaten in their last 5 games haven drawn 2 and won 3. Their next
game is going to be an interesting one against third placed Dortmund.

With 44 points, the fifth placed Bayer Leverkusen is another impressive side in the German Bundesliga this season.
They are on a great form haven Lost only once in their last 8 games.
From this point every team will be keenly focused on winning their next games, including Leverkusen who would obviously have their focus on grabbing the champions league spot for next season. Leverkusen hosts the 12th Placed Frankfurt in their next league game.

No one else but Robert Lewan-goal-ski tops the scoring chat with 25 goals before injuring his left knee in the champions league game against Chelsea. With 21 goals behind Lewandowski, Timo Werner’s great performance this season has drawn the attention of several top teams like Liverpool and Barcelona. Werner has somewhat favored a move to Anfield. The striker in his words; “Liverpool are the best team in the world at the moment, and when you’re linked with that team it makes me very proud”
“Jurgen Klopp is the best coach in the world and I’ll have to improve to have a chance to play there”
Another player that has been exceptional this season is Thomas Muller. Having 16 assists to his name, the German international tops the assist chat in the Bundesliga.

This is the German Bundesliga so far this season and being on the 25th round with many more rounds to go, you can expect many more twists and drama.
